【摘要】:Thetestmethodsdescribedhereinareintendedtoprovideabasisforrelativecomparisonofroofcoverings.Thetestmethodsincludesimulatedfireexposuretotheoutsideoftheroofcoverings,and,whereapplicable,adeterminationastowhetherthefireperformancecharacteristicsoftheroofcoveringswillbeadverselyaffectedbyprolongedexposuretorain.Thesetestmethodsmeasurethesurfacespreadofflameandtheabilityoftheroofcoveringmaterialorsystemtoresistfirepenetrationfromtheexteriortotheundersideofaroofdeckundertheconditionsofexposure.Thesetestmethodsalsoprovidecriteriatodetermineiftheroofcoveringmaterialwilldevelopflyingburningmaterial,identifiedasflyingbrands,whensubjectedtoa12-mph[5.3-m/s]windduringthesimulatedfireexposuretests.Thesetestmethodsdonotnecessarilyillustratetheexpectedperformanceofroofcoveringsunderallactualfireconditions,buttheydoprovideabasisforcomparingroofcoveringmaterialswhensubjectedtofiresourcesthataredescribedherein.Thesetestmethodsdonotprovideanybasisfordeterminingthefireresistancecharacteristicswhenexposedtoafireoriginatinginthebuildingtowhichtheroofingmaterialisapplied.Thetestmethodsdescribedhereininvolvecalibratingthetestequipmentusingacalibrationdeckinclinedataslopeof5in.perhorizontalft(0.416:1).Thetestsdescribedhereinareperformedontestdecksinclinedatslopesuptoandincluding5in.perhorizontalft.Theseverityofthetestexposuredecreasesastheslopeofthetestdeckdecreasesbelow5in.perhorizontalft.1.1Thisfire-test-responsestandardcoversthemeasurementoftherelativefirecharacteristicsofroofcoveringsundersimulatedfireoriginatingoutsidethebuilding.Itisapplicabletoroofcoveringsintendedforinstallationoneithercombustibleornoncombustibledeckswhenappliedasintendedforuse.Thefollowingtestmethodsareincluded:1.1.1Intermittentflameexposuretest.1.1.2Spreadofflametest.1.1.3Burningbrandtest.1.1.4Flyingbrandtest.1.1.5Raintest.1.2Threeclassesoffiretestexposurearedescribed:1.2.1ClassATestsareapplicabletoroofcoveringsthatareeffectiveagainstseveretestexposure,affordahighdegreeoffireprotectiontotheroofdeck,donotslipfromposition,anddonotpresentaflyingbrandhazard.1.2.2ClassBTestsareapplicabletoroofcoveringsthatareeffectiveagainstmoderatetestexposure,affordamoderatedegreeoffireprotectiontotheroofdeck,donotslipfromposition,anddonotpresentaflyingbrandhazard.1.2.3ClassCTestsareapplicabletoroofcoveringsthatareeffectiveagainstlighttestexposure,affordalightdegreeoffireprotectiontotheroofdeck,donotslipfromposition,anddonotpresentaflyingbrandhazard.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsshallberegardedasthestandard.Valuesgiveninbracketsareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,productsorassembliesunderactualfireconditions.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.5Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatoryinformation.Thesenotesandfootnotes,excludingthoseintablesan......
