【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftherelativethermalenduranceofflexibleelectricalinsulatingvarnishesbydeterminingthetimenecessaryatelevatedtemperaturestodecreasethedielectricbreakdownofthevarnishtoanarbitrarilyselectedvaluewhenappliedtoastandardglassfiberfabric.Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytovarnishesthatloseahighpercentageoftheirdielectricbreakdownvoltagewhenflexedbeforeelevatedtemperatureexposureasprescribedinthescreeningtest(Section9).Examplesofsuchvarnishesarethoseusedforhighspeedarmaturesandlaminatedstructures.Also,thistestmethodisnotapplicabletovarnisheswhichdistortsufficientlyduringthermalelevatedtemperatureexposuresothattheycannotbetestedusingthecurvedelectrodeassembly.Thermalenduranceisexpressedintermsofatemperatureindex.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection7.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsarethestandard.ThereisnoequivalentIECorISOstandard.
