【摘要】:TheStandardstipulatesamethodforhardnesstestingofverysoftelastomers,likesilicones,withthedesignationVLRHscale.Theelaborationofthisstandardbecamenecessarybecauseinseveralindustrialbranches,likecarindustry,butalsoinmedicineincreasinglysiliconesareapplied,butthehardnesstestingmethodsusedsofarcouldnotsufficientlydiscriminatethehardnessdifferencesofsilicones.Comparedwithpresentmethods,theVLRHmethodexcelsbytestforcesandanindentationdepthmeasurementwithhighresolution,whichfitwiththepropertiesofverysoftsilicones.BythestandardizationoftheVLRHscaleinISO27588theuserofthismethodisgivensafety,andsupplierandcostumerintobeconcludedcontractscanrefertothisstandard.
