【摘要】:Theraveledstriptestinthistestmethodisconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofwoventextilefabricsbecausethemethodhasbeenusedextensivelyinthetradeforacceptancetesting.Thesameistrueforthecutstriptestforfeltedornonwoventextilefabrics.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Ataminimum,usethesamplesforsuchacomparativetestthatareashomogeneousaspossible,drawnfromthesamelotofmaterialasthesamplesthatresultedindisparateresultsduringinitialtestingandrandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratory.Thetestresultsfromthelaboratoriesinvolvedshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,aprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifbiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsforthatmaterialmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.Themethodisnotrecommendedforknittedfabricsbecauseoftheirhighstretch.Somemodificationofthetechniquesmaybenecessaryforanyfabrichavingastrengthinexcessof200N/cm(1140lbf/in.)width.Specialprecautionarymeasuresareprovidedforusewhennecessarywithstrongfabrics,orfabricsmadefromglassfibers(seeSpecificationD579),topreventthemfromslippingintheclampsorbeingdamagedasaresultofbeinggrippedintheclamps.Alloftheproceduresareapplicablefortestingfabricseitherconditionedorwet.Comparisonofresultsfromtensiletestingmachinesoperatingondifferentprinciplesisnotrecommended.Whendifferenttypesofmachinesareusedforcomparisontesting,constanttime-to-breakat20x00B1;3sistheestablishedwayofproducingdata.Eventhenthedatamaydiffersignificantly.Althoughaconstant-rate-of-extensiontensiletestingmachineispreferredinthesemethods,incasesofdispute,unlessthereisagreementtothecontrarybetweenthepurchaserandsupplier,aconstant-time-to-break(20x00B1;3s)istobeused.Theraveledstripprocedureisapplicabletothedeterminationoftheforcerequiredtobreakaspecificwidthoffabric.Thebreakingforceinformationonwovenfabricsisparticularlyusefulforcomparisonoftheeffectivestrengthoftheyarnsinthefabricwiththecombinedstrengthofanequalnumberofthesameyarnswhicharenotwoven.Theprocedureisnotrecommendedforfabricshavingfewerthan20yarnsacrossthewidthofthespecimen.Ifa20-yarns-per-specimenwidthcannotbeobtainedwitha25-mm(1-in.)strip,a50-mm(2-in.)stripshouldbeused.Ingeneral,theobservedforcefora50-mm(2-in.)specimenisnotdoubletheobservedforcefora25-mm(1-in.)specimenandtheresultsshouldbereportedasobservedona50-mm(2-in.)stripwithoutmathematicaladjustmentto25mm(1in.).Ifafabriccannotberaveledreadily,useeitheracutstriporgrabprocedure.Thecutstripprocedureisapplicabletoheavilyfulledfabrics,wovenfabricsthatcannotbereadilyraveled,feltedfabricsandnonwovenfabrics.Thisprocedureisnotrecommendedforfabricswhichcanberaveledbecausetheyarnsattheedgestendtounravelduringtesting.Therecommendationregardingtheminimumnumberofyarnsinawovenspecimendiscussedin5.7forraveledstripsappliesequallytocutstrips.1.1Thistestmethodcoversraveledstripandcutstriptestproceduresfordeterminingthebreakingforceandelongationofmosttextilefabrics.Provisionismadeforwettesting.1.1.1Theraveledstriptestisapplicabletowovenfabricswhilet......
